Fresh Future Coaching and Counseling Helps Women and Teens Move Forward with Faith and Confidence
By Laura Black
Kayla Schroeder built Fresh Future Coaching and Counseling around a simple idea: people often need both practical guidance and a strong spiritual foundation when they are trying to work through difficult relationships, family tension or seasons of uncertainty.
As the owner of Fresh Future, Schroeder works primarily with women, teens and young adults who are navigating challenges such as marital strain, communication breakdowns, friendship conflict, dating anxiety, family issues and questions surrounding self-worth. Her approach blends life coaching with Biblical counseling, allowing clients to work on practical skills while also drawing on Scripture and faith when that is important to them.
For Schroeder, the goal is not simply to help someone solve one immediate problem. She wants clients to better understand the patterns behind what they are experiencing and to leave with tools they can continue using in their everyday lives.
Practical Guidance Rooted in Faith
Fresh Future’s approach combines evidence-based life coaching strategies with Biblical counseling, which gives Schroeder the ability to address challenges from both a practical and spiritual perspective. Clients may work on communication skills, boundaries, decision-making and healthier ways to respond to conflict while also exploring how their faith can guide them through the situation.
For women, that might mean navigating tension within a marriage, rebuilding confidence after a difficult relationship or working through communication problems that have created distance in a family. For teens and young adults, the issues often look different, but can feel just as overwhelming. Schroeder works with young clients facing friendship drama, dating pressures, family conflict and the emotional strain that can come with trying to fit in or understand their own sense of identity.
Those challenges can be especially intense for teenagers because so much of their social life now continues long after the school day ends. A disagreement with a friend can follow them home through text messages, group chats and social media, while dating pressures and questions of self-worth can feel constant rather than occasional. Fresh Future gives teens a place to sort through those experiences and begin building a healthier foundation for how they see themselves and relate to others.
Schroeder also wants the environment itself to feel comfortable and approachable. Upon request, she incorporates therapy dogs into sessions, particularly when working with teens who may feel nervous or hesitant about opening up. The presence of a dog can help make the setting feel less formal and can give younger clients something comforting to focus on while they begin talking through what is going on.
Building Healthier Relationships
Much of Schroeder’s work centers on relationships, but her focus is not on teaching clients how to avoid conflict altogether. Instead, she helps them develop the skills to handle conflict in healthier ways, recognize patterns that may be causing repeated problems and learn when boundaries are necessary.
That work often includes helping clients understand the difference between reacting emotionally in the moment and responding thoughtfully. It may also involve preparing for difficult conversations, learning how to communicate needs more clearly or recognizing when an unhealthy dynamic has begun to affect confidence and peace of mind.
For clients who want faith incorporated into the process, Schroeder also brings Scripture and Biblical principles into the conversation. One of the verses reflected in Fresh Future’s message is 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.” The verse speaks to the foundation Schroeder hopes clients will carry with them, particularly the idea that a person’s worth does not depend entirely on how someone else treats them or whether another person approves of them.
By combining practical life coaching with Biblical counseling, Schroeder aims to help clients work through current challenges while also strengthening the way they approach relationships in the future.
Creating a Path Forward
One of the ideas Schroeder emphasizes through Fresh Future is that a difficult season does not have to define what comes next. Relationship problems can leave people feeling stuck, especially when the same arguments, disappointments or patterns seem to repeat themselves, but having an outside perspective can often help bring clarity to what is really happening.
Schroeder works with clients to identify those obstacles, understand where change is possible and begin taking manageable steps toward healthier relationships and greater peace. For some, that may mean rebuilding communication within a marriage or family. For others, it may mean learning to set boundaries, developing confidence after a painful relationship or helping a teenager recognize that friendship and dating struggles do not determine his or her value.
Fresh Future Coaching and Counseling is designed to be a place where clients can talk openly about those challenges while receiving practical support grounded in Christian faith. Schroeder’s hope is that women, teens and young adults leave not only feeling heard, but also better equipped to move forward with confidence, clarity and a stronger sense of who they are.
